A Soul Train line.
Minnesota fall colors.
And surprise guests...
What else would you be doing on Sunday October 11th than joining my Run Across Minnesota Finale! *In-person details below, or Virtually via livestream at Instagram.com/mikahmey
Ending location: The *brand new (as of June 1)* Stillwater Historic Lift Bridge
Ending time: Right after the 5pm lift bridge raising (if there's a boat), for approx. 5:15pm. Plan to arrive by 5pm at latest to be safe.
Attire: Fun colors! It's National Coming Out Day after all! Parking: FREE on-street parking downtown - Map of paid lots here
There will be two people lined up at the Minnesota-Wisconsin border line (on the bridge over the middle of the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway) with a Finish Line Tape. Please line up to their sides, spaced 6 feet apart and against the interior green rail (so bikers/walkers can pass in the middle), making a Soul Train Line back toward Minnesota.
What's a Soul Train Line? Check out this video for an example (yes, you are encouraged to dance when I arrive and while waiting, and I may or may not have a giant speaker blasting Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out" and other disco):
Speaking of waiting, please do so with a mask on your face. Maybe we'll set a world record for longest "Soul Train line of Mask Wearers." I'll look into it...
If you'd like to run the Final 1 Mile of my 200+ mile #RunAcrossMN, meet out front of Len's Family Foods (map below). Be prepared at 5pm to run with Mikah Forest-Gump-Style to the finish line! FREE parking available at First United Methodist Church Stillwater (lower or upper lots): 813 Myrtle St W, Stillwater, MN 55082
Sunset will be at 6:34pm, so stay after and enjoy the beautiful light reflecting off the river and feel free to tell the media how you knew me when I could barely run 1 mile at a time (not that long ago!).
